Services: The EAAA provides consumers who have Medicare with free health insurance counseling through the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP). They offer additional information on Medicare, enroll people in the Medicare Savings Program, help people obtain insurance, and teach people how to detect and report errors. They answer questions about Medicare, prescription drug coverage through Medicare, Advantage Plans, MaineCare, Long-term Care, and other insurances. They can help people with a Medicare review and explore varied prescription drug assistance options including Medicare Part D, Lost Cost Drugs for the Elderly and Disabled, MaineCare, and Maine Rx Plus Program.
