Services: This program brings people together, ultimately providing friendship and companionship for people feeling lonely or needing help with such tasks as shopping at the grocery store and banking. Besides providing transportation, elder buddies will chat on the telephone, care for pets, make meals, shop for groceries, and more.

Services: Project Generations is a friendly visiting program that connects University of Maine students with socially-isolated older adults in the community. Students visit their older adult “match” for at least one hour per week and for at least two semesters in a row.

Services: The Senior Companions offer services with the objective of maintaining the highest level of independence in homebound and isolated adults by being a friend who listens and cares. The volunteers help with routine errands and provide limited respite to family caregivers. There is no charge for the services of the companion.
